She never thought she’d be doing this

Her first sled workout that is!

Ana crushed her first try at the sled showing she had some power in those legs after all.

Take a look for your self and ask your self what lengths are willing to go to, to improve your life for the better.

Ana had no experience at this type of workout/any workout really and she is already crushing it her first week.

What she has is a WILL and a WANT to improve her daily life.

I Think She Hates Me…..

well not really i know she loves me but she was sure sore after our first workout but i told her that if she wanted to be REAL WORLD STRONG she would have to get back in the saddle and ride.

So here is a video of a quick medicine ball circuit that we just did

I let Ana know that becoming Strong(Real World) would not be easy and that it would take hard work and dedication, but if she put her mind to it and really wanted to change her life for the better she had taken the first steps.

7 Ways to get the most out of your day….

so YOU can be Real World Strong in mind and body, and have more quality time for yourself and your family!

1. Is something most people never do and its sooooo important GET MORE SLEEP…your muscles grow while you sleep, and if you don’t have proper rest you will be tired throughout the day.

 

 

 2. EAT FIRST THING WHEN YOU WAKE UP and eat 4-5 more small meals….as your mom used to say “The First Meal of the Day is the Most Important”

3. As you at that first meal of the day MAKE A LIST of the 5 things you NEED to accomplish that day and a list of 2 things that if you really put your mind to it you would like to accomplish.

4. Throughout your day try to eliminate anything that does not help you reach one of your goals(phone calls, emails, TV TV TV TV, etc).

Just ask yourself is talking to this person, watching this show, or checking my email for the 7th time helping me get closer to my goals.

 

                                                                                                               

5. This is not part of your goals for the day, ITS A GOAL IN OF ITSELF.  Set aside a time to work out, it could be as little as 5 minutes but if you schedule it you are more likely to do it. If you think you have a busy day remember our Body weight workouts that can be done anywhere.

 

6. MULITASK/DELEGATE …in our everyday lives there are so many things we can do together to be more productive or pay someone else to do for us. Lets say you have to make a phone call do it while you are stuck in traffic or walking from your desk to the bathroom.

Also your time is worth money a lot of money if you value yourself as you should so things you can pay other people to do for you should be viewed that way if it takes you an hour to mow your lawn whats that hour worth to you is it worth more than the 20 dollars you could pay the teenager down the street to mow it?

 

 7. Last before you go to bed early than usually remember you need your sleep grab your list and you made and check off all the goals that you accomplished. You are you own worst critique and if you see that you failed it will make you push harder for your goals tomorrow.

What a Wedding!!!!

I had a great time at my friends wedding this weekend! I saw alot of great old friends that i have not seen in awhile, and got them excited about Real World Strength.

It was killing me not being able to get on the Internet but at least i could still train cause even on vacation i like to stay Strong. Thats the great thing about Real World Strength you can train for it anywhere without any fancy equipment.

 I took a kettlebell and my body weight(of course) on the trip with me and thats all i needed for a killer workout!

But i know everyone wants to see some more training from my wife Ana so here is the second part of her day 1 bodyweight training!!

 

Tomorrow she is going to CRUSH her first sled day i cant wait!

I will be watching will you?

The world series starts tonight and for the first time since 1993 my Phillies are playing for the world championship.

If you listen to people talk around the country they say that this will be the worst watched series ever.

I dont think people understand what this series is all about…..Real World Strength!

In an era of when most teams just spend the big $$$$ and try and get a quick fix(YANKEES) this year and not look toward the future, these two teams are differnt.

They have both been BUILT they have gotten strong over time and the Rays may be a year early this year but let me tell you you are going to see these teams deep in the playoff for a while to come.

So here’s to a great series and i hope people watch cuase its going to be a good one.

My Toughest Client Yet….

well sort of!

Today I started training my wife! She has workd out with me in the past but has always been kinda wishy washy with it. When she asked me if she could train with me for real I told her that  iwould treat her like all y other clients. I was not going to except 50%, 75% or even 90% if she raeally wanted to work with me I would need 100% each and every time out NO EXCUSES, NO WHINNING, NO TURNING BACK!

I love her with all my heart but she s the poster child for NOT being REAL WORLD STRONG.

She is not fat, or over weight but she has no muscle mass at all.

Her arms hurt from opening wine at work, her legs hurt from being on them all day, and she snacks on what she can get her hands on when she has time.

What do you do for FUN?

Here it is THE TOTAL 20 my new full body complex for CONSTRUCTING awesome work capacity which leads right into well you know REAL WORLD STRENGTH.

 

It consist of….

20 tire flips(im using a 600 or so pound tire)

20 Kettlebell swings 10L/10R ( im using 50lb Kb)

20 Kettlebell snatches 10L/10R (50lb)

20 box/tire jumps(with step down 10L/10R0

20 pushups(im doing weight chain push ups)

MY time was 5:52 not to bad had the heart pumping and blood flowing and best of all having FUN while constructing Real World Strength!

So remember have Fun and Construct Strength

What are you scared of?

      

I will tell you what we are NOT SCARED of here at the Real World Strength Coach & that is changing the minds of people out there and what they think of as strength and being strong! Our GOAL our PASSION is to get people thinkin about everyday strength and how they can improve their lives in mind and body.

I was just putting together some of my lessons for those lucky enough to be here in philadelphia and i came up with an exciting new full body workout that i think am going to use as level of strength indicator. I can’t wait to get outside and try it out i just had to let the world know about it first its called THE TOTAL 20 and it is going to be a CRUSHER for work capacity.  So im off to test it out and for all you lucky fans out here im going to have a video of it…….

Bodyweight Squat Circuit
